Philosophers of every age have tried to understand and decipher the nature and purpose of life, sharing that with their students. In our reading of 1 Corinthians today we heard Paul sharing with the Greeks of Corinth something that would change their understanding of reality. Paul calls it the gospel – “the good news” – and it would fulfill, change, overhaul and upend their philosophies.
